Arduino UNO Rev4 WiFi

The Arduino UNO R4 WiFi has integrated RA4M1 and ESP32-S3 microprocessors, and provides expanded memory, faster clock speed, and enhanced onboard peripheral functions. It also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity, the Qwiic ecosystem, HID support, and runtime error diagnostics, making it ideal for builders of all levels.

characteristic

  • High-performance microcontroller with wireless capability:
Integrates RA4M1 and ESP32-S3 microprocessors, and supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connections
  • Wider input voltage range:
Supporting an input voltage range of 6-24V enables smoother integration and simplifies projects by using a single power supply.
  • Dual Die Memory and Clock Speed:
The main processor provides processing power at a clock speed of 48 MHz and provides 256 KB of Flash memory for the ESP32-S3 up to 240 MHz, while the ESP32 -S3 provides 512 KB of SRAM .
  • Onboard peripherals:
Equipped with a 12x8 LED matrix, Qwiic connector and additional pins to support a battery-powered RTC, providing expanded functionality and design flexibility.
  • HID support:
UNO Rev4 WiFi has built-in HID support, which can be compared to a mouse or keyboard. When connected to a computer via USB, it can easily send keyboard input and mouse movement.

Description

Arduino UNO Rev4 WiFi is the first UNO board with 32 -bit microcontroller and ESP32-S3 Wi-Fi module ( ESP32-S3-MINI-1-N8) . It uses the RA4M1 series microcontroller from Renesas. The memory of the UNO Rev4 WiFi is larger than its predecessor, with 256 kB of Flash, 32 kB of SRAM and 8 kB of EEPROM. It also includes an onboard 12x8 LED matrix, Qwiic connector, VRTC and OFF pins.

The board is based on a 48 MHz Arm® Cortex-M4® microprocessor, equipped with a floating point unit ( FPU), and features a real-time clock (RTC), memory protection unit (MPU), digital-to-analog converter (DAC), and 256 kB flash memory. The board also includes a capacitive touch unit (CTSU), USB 2.0 full-speed module (USBFS), 14-bit ADC, up to 12- bit DAC , and operational amplifier ( OPAMP). The recommended input voltage (VIN) is 6-24V, connected to the VIN pin ( 6-24V) via a barrel plug or powered at 5V via USB-C® .

The ESP32-S3 module is a secondary MCU with a built-in antenna for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. This module works at 3.3V and communicates with RA4M1 through a logic level converter (TXB0108DQSR). It supports Wi-Fi with 802.11 b/g/n standards ( Wi-Fi 4) and Bluetooth 5 , making it easier to communicate wirelessly with other devices.

With UNO Rev4 WiFi , you can easily upgrade your project and add wireless connectivity to extend the coverage of your current equipment. If this is your first project, this board has everything you need to spark your creativity.
